Duties include:
- Set up client files reviewing information provided;
- Drafting email correspondence;
- Monitor client information and follow up with clients as appropriate;
- Preparation of basic US and UK income tax returns;
- Preparation and submission of correspondence to official authorities;
- File tax return with HMRC once the client has agreed it;
- E-file US tax return with IRS once the client has agreed it;
- Deal with basic correspondence in an appropriate fashion;
- Deal with basic client queries over the phone or via email such as questions regarding the status of tax returns, tax refunds, penalty notices received etc;
- Preparation of draft fee notes with narrative and appropriate fees in conjunction with senior/ manager;
Qualities Required
- Experience is an advantage but not essential.
- This role requires a good communicator with excellent computer skills.
- Experience of working in a team, and have a "happy to help" attitude when others are busy.
Essential requirements:
- Numerate and strong organisational skills.
- Intermediate level Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Typing speed minimum 60wpm.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to manage a varied workload.
